Fiji will stage their home fixtures in the inaugural Nations Championship in Cardiff, Liverpool and Edinburgh, for the Nations Championship clashes against Wales, England and Scotland respectively.

Fiji Nations Championship Venues Confirmed

Fiji will open their campaign against Wales at Cardiff City Stadium on 4 July before facing England at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool a week later. The Pacific Islanders will then meet Scotland at Murrayfield in Edinburgh on 18 July.

The decision follows Fiji’s request to host fixtures outside the Pacific Islands in order to enhance commercial opportunities and increase ticket sales. Options to stage matches elsewhere were explored before British venues were finalised.

England Wales Scotland Face Travel Demands

The confirmed schedule creates logistical challenges for the three Home Unions. England are expected to play South Africa in Johannesburg and Argentina in Santiago del Estero either side of the Fiji fixture, raising the possibility of squad rotation to manage travel demands.

Scotland’s itinerary is also extensive, with fixtures scheduled in Cordoba, Pretoria and Edinburgh across consecutive weeks. Wales are similarly set for matches in Cardiff, San Juan and Durban during the same window.

Nations Championship Schedule Challenges

With the competition approaching, full scheduling details are still being finalised. The cross-hemisphere format places added strain on player welfare and preparation, particularly given the compressed timeframe.

The inaugural Nations Championship is designed to create structured competition between established and emerging rugby nations, but the confirmed host venues have added a new layer of complexity for participating teams.
