Wasps wing Elliot Daly is set to feature for England in their attempt to win the second successive Grand Slam title when they take on Ireland in the final round of Six Nations after he was retained in the 25-man training squad.

The 24-year-old suffered an injury when he was tackled by Scotland hooker Fraser Brown in the recently concluded encounter between the two teams which England won 61-21 to retain the Six Nations title.

Daly's inclusion in the squad came after he had passed return to play protocols but for him to be named in the starting line-up, he will have to successfully undergo full training on Thursday before head coach Eddie Jones names the matchday 23.

Also Billy Vunipola will be in contention to replace Nathan Hughes at number eight after successfully returning in the game against Scotland where he scored a try coming off the bench.

Wasps hooker Tommy Taylor is also retained in the squad and is expected to be a travelling reserve along with Jonny May for the final game of the tournament.
