Leicester Tigers centre Manu Tuilagi has been included in the 33-man England squad for the training camp ahead of the Six Nations 2017 tournament.

The 25-year-old's career was dodged with a serious groin injury which saw him out of action for 15 months and made a comeback in the Six Nations 2016 encounter against Wales. However, a hamstring injury followed by the resurfacing of the groin problem saw the England international miss the remaining of fixtures in the year.

Anthony Watson and Jack Nowell also return to the England squad after missing the autumn internationals due to a fractured jaw and thigh injury respectively while the retention of Jonny May and Marland Yarde meant Semesa Rokoduguni will have to wait for his chance again.

Nathan Catt and Matt Mullan have been named as a cover to Mako Vunipola while Eddie Jones have received the much needed boost with the return of James Haskell after successfully recovering from a knee surgery.

Apart from Catt, Josh Beaumont and Alex Lozowski are the other uncapped players on the squad that will be led by Dylan Hartley, who is currently serving a six-week ban for his club.

"This short two-day camp in Brighton allows us to do some of the organisational work we need to do for the Six Nations.

"We have France first up, who are one of the most improved sides in Europe. We've got to make sure that we use this training camp to get an understanding of how we're going to beat France.

"We want to see a good attitude from the players and, as always, we're looking for players who are desperate to play for England.

"The thing the struck me about last year's Six Nations is that sides were scared to lose and we want to make sure in this Six Nations, right from the word go, that we're daring and we have the courage to play our game."
