England coach Eddie Jones was present with a bruised face along with skipper Dylan Hartley during the launch of the Six Nations tournament on Wednesday.

A spokesman of Rugby Football Union revealed that the 56-year-old was injured during a fall but no further details were given out.

Hartley, was announced the captain of the red rose team in their title defence despite his recent ban of six weeks while playing for his club Northampton Saints following a stiff arm tackle on Leinster's Sean O'Brien.

As Hartley was answering the questions on the stage, Jones with his bruised eye was following the conversation along with the audiences.

When asked about his fitness, Hartley said: "We did this last year talking about me, I'm here on behalf of the team.

"The challenge is to use this week as best we can to get the preparation right for a huge first game."

England will begin the Six Nations campaign against France at Twickenham on 4th February following which they will take on Wales, Italy, Scotland and Ireland.
