Edinburgh Rugby have officially announced the departures of two of its seasoned players, Jamie Ritchie and Dave Cherry, as both athletes prepare to continue their professional rugby careers in France.

Jamie Ritchie, the dynamic flanker known for his leadership and tenacity on the field, has signed with French Top 14 side Perpignan.

Ritchie's move marks the end of a significant chapter with Edinburgh, where he has been a pivotal figure in the team's back row.

Hooker Dave Cherry is also set to leave the Scottish capital, having agreed to join French Pro D2 club Vannes. Cherry's tenure at Edinburgh has been marked by consistent performances and a steadfast presence in the front row.

These departures are part of a broader transition period for Edinburgh Rugby.

The club has been active in the transfer market, bringing in new talent to bolster the squad. Notably, Scotland international Dylan Richardson has joined from the Sharks, aiming to fill the void left by Ritchie's exit.
