Dylan Hartley new brand ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors

Since 2013 rugby union has embraced social media and the emergence of #RugbyUnited on twitter is one example of how Twitter has allowed fans to interact with players. One player who has had his share of controversy is England Rugby Captain.

On Twitter Hartley is informative and engaging. He has used it to great effect including his commitment, with his Northampton Saints team-mates, to promote Movember. Hartley has always been prepared to respond to Talking Rugby Union’s tweets.

During the current season Hartley, has struggled with injury but is clearly an integral part of Eddie Jones’ plan for the England Rugby team.

He has now been announced as a new Brand Ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK.

Dylan, who has been captaining England for the last ten months, joins England Rugby head coach Eddie Jones as an ambassador for the brand.

The partnership comes after Mitsubishi Motors in the UK was unveiled as England Rugby’s Official Performance Partner in September, which will see the manufacturer support England from grassroots all the way to elite level.

Dylan, 30, will drive a Mitsubishi L200 Series 5, which delivers an incomparable pick-up package, offering strength, reliability and versatility. The award-winning pick-up is the perfect companion and is as happy climbing a mountain as it is cruising along a motorway.

Dylan, who has 75 caps for the national side and has made more than 200 appearances for Northampton Saints, said: “I’m very proud to become an ambassador for Mitsubishi Motors and look forward to working with the team going forward. The L200 is the perfect fit for my lifestyle, whether it’s throwing a couple of bikes in the back and heading off into the countryside or driving the family around town.”

Lance Bradley, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors UK, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for us, with our new partnership with England Rugby. Having Dylan on board as a brand ambassador serves to strengthen that partnership further and we are delighted he — and Eddie Jones — are representing us. We hope he enjoys his new L200, and we wish him, Eddie and the whole England team luck with preparations for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.”

Encouragingly on Saturday 29th October, whilst covering National 2 North, we saw the RFU branded vehicles. As we travel the country covering all forms of rugby union, we’ll be following those vehicles and their drivers.
