Former England prop and Leicester Tigers stalwart Dan Cole has joined the club’s backroom staff as Recruitment & Retention Manager, following his retirement from professional rugby at the end of last season.

Cole, who made 388 appearances for Leicester and earned 121 Test caps for England over a nearly two-decade career, will now work alongside incoming Head Coach Geoff Parling as part of a newly formed recruitment and retention committee at Oval Park.

This committee will play a central role in aligning the club's senior squad, Academy, and pathway programs heading into the 2025-26 season. The restructure also includes George Glenn, who has been named the new Academy Manager.

Leicester Tigers are in the process of finalising another major appointment—a Head of Rugby Operations—to further bolster the backroom staff.

Parling, who recently concluded his coaching duties with the Australian national team, has already taken charge of Leicester’s pre-season preparations. Cole and Glenn have also begun their new roles.

The committee will operate under the oversight of Leicester Tigers CEO Andrea Pinchen.

Speaking on Cole’s appointment, Pinchen expressed her confidence in the move.

“Dan brings unmatched experience and a deep-rooted commitment to Leicester Tigers. His attention to detail and professionalism have always stood out.

"He has a true passion for the club and will play a crucial role in shaping its future.”
