by Matthew Wood Thursday 8 October 2026

What is happening at Barnes this season, and how is the wider National Two East campaign taking shape? In this six-minute video, Talking Rugby Union editor Chris Heal answers both questions.

The conversation begins with Barnes, where TRU columnist Frank Nickson once played. Chris looks at the club’s season so far and the story developing around them, before widening the discussion to the teams and talking points across Nat2E.

With the league campaign unfolding week by week, there is plenty to follow: form, progress and the challenges facing clubs as they look to build momentum. Chris shares his view on what readers should be watching as the season continues.
