Bath Rugby has confirmed the signing of Scotland international Chris Harris for the 2025/26 season.

The experienced centre arrives from Gloucester Rugby on a one-year deal, bringing with him a wealth of international and Premiership experience that is expected to bolster Bath's midfield options.

The 34-year-old has earned 46 caps for Scotland and was selected for the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa in 2021.

Renowned for his defensive solidity and sharp game-reading skills, Harris adds both experience and leadership to the squad at a time when Bath is pushing for further success in domestic and European competitions.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join Bath and get to play with some great friends and great talent," he told the club's official website.

“The culture translates on the pitch and I’m excited to get started.”

During his tenure at Gloucester, Harris made over 100 appearances and crossed the try line 26 times, establishing himself as one of the most reliable and hard-working centres in the Premiership.

His departure marks the end of a significant chapter with the Cherry & Whites, where he was a cornerstone in both defense and attack.

“We are very excited that Chris will be joining us on injury dispensation for Ollie." said Bath’s Head of Rugby Johann van Graan.

“Chris is a leader, and an excellent all-round player who wants to add to our fourth-year journey.

“I believe Chris' best is yet to come and he will fit in very well with our family-first environment.”
