Tobi Wilson Bristol Bears Signing Confirmed

The 22-year-old will join Bristol after establishing himself as a standout performer in Champ Rugby. Wilson has built a strong reputation for his attacking ability and consistency, making 50 appearances across spells with Ealing Trailfinders, Coventry and Worcester.

Since joining Ealing in 2024, he has become a key figure in their backline, scoring 24 tries in 37 appearances. His finishing ability, pace and attacking awareness have made him one of the most effective full-backs in the competition.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining Bristol Bears. The club’s style of play and ambition really suit the way I want to play the game, and it feels like the perfect environment to challenge myself and keep improving," he told the club's official website.

“I’ve loved my time in Champ Rugby and I’m grateful to the clubs that have helped me develop, but I’m ready for the next step and can’t wait to get started at Bristol.”

Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam is delighted with the signing of Wilson.

“Tobi is an exciting young player who has consistently delivered high-level performances at full back in the Championship. I’ve been particularly impressed by his fearless mindset and the way he combines pace, skill and game awareness.

“He has a real ability to influence matches – whether through his finishing, his impact in broken play, or his willingness to take the game on and create opportunities.

“We’re delighted he has chosen to join us at the Bears. We both believe this move will provide the right environment for him to continue developing, push his game to the next level, and fulfil his potential."
