Australia head coach Dave Rennie has recalled veteran playmaker Bernard Foley ahead of the third round of the Rugby Championship clash against South Africa at Adelaide Oval on 27th August.

Foley last played for Australia during the 2019 Rugby World Cup and has featured in 71 Tests scoring 622 points. His inclusion follows after Quade Cooper is sidelined with an Achilles' injury.

The 35-man squad also sees winger Andrew Kellaway and props Angus Bell and Scott Sio all returning from injuries while Allan Alaalatoa, Hunter Paisami and Dave Porecki also make a comeback after missing the tour of Argentina.

Fly-half James O'Connor misses out on the selection while Noah Lolesio will provide back up to Foley.

Following the game on 27th August, the two teams will meet again at Sydney Football Stadium at Allianz Stadium in the first week of September.
