Saracens have announced the signing of Argentina international Juan Martin Gonzalez ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The 22-year-old started his professional rugby career with Jaguares XV in 2021 before moving to London Irish.

As the Exiles entered into administration following financial crisis, Gonzalez will now head to StoneX Stadium at the end of the Rugby World Cup campaign in France.

Having represented Argentina Under 20 side in the past, Gonzalez made his Test debut against Romania in 2021 and has 22 caps to his name scoring six tries.

“I am very excited to meet the players and the fans. I will give everything to make sure the team goes well!," he told the club's official website.

Director of Rugby Mark McCall is thrilled to welcome the back-rower to StoneX Stadium.

“Juan is a player who we are very excited about. He has shown his ability in the Premiership over the past couple of seasons and we believe he has his best rugby ahead of him.”
