Leicester Lions suffered their first defeat of the new season last weekend which meant now only three sides remain without a loss to their name in National Two North heading into Round Four.

The Taunton Titans continued their 100% start to this National Two South season, after seeing off Barnes on Saturday.

Wharfedale, South Leicester and Chester picked up their first wins of the new season in Round Three of National Two North.

At this early stage of the season, it is always tough to say who will be challenging for promotion come April.

After two rounds of National Two North action, four teams are yet to experience that losing feeling and all four clubs will be hoping it stays that way in their home fixtures this weekend.

This time last season, Taunton Titans sat top of National Two South after a perfect start to the campaign and 12 months on, they are at the summit again after a sensational performance in Round Two.

Four teams in National Two North maintained their 100 per cent starts to the season on Saturday with all of the clubs level on points in this early stage of the new campaign.

The new National Two South campaign got underway last weekend and even at this early stage, there are sides that have marked out their intentions for this season.

Round 13 in National Two North is set to be an explosive one as the top four sides are all in action against each other.

As we approach the Christmas break, it is safe to say the winter weather conditions have already arrived and that was evident in Round 12 of National Two North.

Three teams entered Week Three of National Two South all on level points at the top of the division. However, after this round of fixtures, Taunton are now out there all by themselves and lead the way. Old Albanian were held to a draw against Southend, Redruth just keep on winning while Canterbury moved into the top three.

Sedgley Park move clear at the top, Leicester Lions and Sandal continue to shock this division and there were impressive debut wins in National Two North for South Leicester and Sale. Elsewhere, Otley ended their losing streak while Macclesfield and Caldy were both victorious.

Old Albanian, Taunton and Redurth are the only three teams with a perfect record in National Two South and all three face away trips this weekend.

Sedgley Park will be hoping to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season this weekend, but face a difficult home fixture whilst Sandal will be looking to carry on their unbeaten start when they travel away from home for the first time this campaign.
