We caught up with Giant Edinburgh Winger Tim Visser.
Q1. How do you think Edinburgh are doing this year?
Not as good as we would've wanted to, were not anywhere near the position we would've wanted to be at in this stage of the season, but we're not far of winning games and that's the main priority right now, to get the basics right.
2. Who is your rugby hero and why?
Jonah Lomu, great winger with amazing power and pace who used it in the right way.
3. How did you get into rugby?
My dad played all his life and captained holland for 15 years gaining 67 caps before retiring.
4. Is rugby popular over in the Netherlands?
Not very, there are still over a 100 clubs in holland but football is the main sport.
5. What career would you be in if you weren't a rugby player?
Before getting scouted by newcastle falcons i was about to start my studies in commercial economics, so probably something following up from that.
6. Have you any close friends who don't play for Edinburgh and play rugby?
Yes, i've got some great friends who i played rugby with in holland who still play for RC Hilversum (the dutch champions) and the Dutch team, and ofcourse my brother Sep who is in the Newcastle Falcons academy.
7. Do you hope to play for Scotland one day?
It would be great to play on the international stage such as the six nations for instance but for now i'm concentrating on playing well for Edinburgh.
8. What tips would you give to a young rugby player?
Try and play in as many positions as you can to learn different skills, i played all over the back line and the back row and even second row and i believe it helped me develop some skills that are universal in the game.
9. How do you like living Scotland?
Scotland is brilliant, Edinburgh is a very lively diverse city with loads to do, whilst if you drive into the countryside for 10 mins it's a completely different world.
10. What would you like to do after you retire from rugby?
It's something i become increasingly worried about. i'm studying business at the open university at the moment to prepare me for this. i'm also very interested in property development as a career.
11. Who is the toughest player you have played against or played with?
I'd have to say some of the backrow and centres i have played with such as roddy grant and jamie noon are tough.

It's great to have the support from our fans, especially in the hard times when were not performing as we'd like. Hopefully we can reward them with some good performances coming up.
