Saracens have confirmed former England international Nick Kennedy as Head of Player Recruitment.

Kennedy held roles of Academy Director and Director of Rugby with London Irish previously and had a consultant role with the Allianz Park outfit before signing new contract until 2022.

Having made his professional rugby debut in 2001, the 36-year-old racked up over 200 appearances for the Exiles in a span of 11 years and also has the experience of playing for Toulon and Harlequins before announcing retirement in May 2014.

His England debut came in 2008 but managed to play just seven Tests with his last appearance for the red rose team coming during March 2009.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Saracens so far and I’m looking forward to starting full time,” Kennedy said.

“I’ve been extremely impressed with the coaches, off-field team and players and I can’t wait to be part of the team.”

Meanwhile, Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall is confident that Kennedy will be a big boost to the club's growth.

“Nick is a highly respected figure in rugby," said McCall.

“He brings a wealth of experience from both playing and coaching at a high level. We feel he will make a unique contribution to the Saracens project going forward.”

Saracens are currently at the second position in the Gallagher Premiership after managing to win all the seven games in the ongoing season.
