Robbie Henshaw, blossoming star of the Irish International rugby team, is the subject of #AllitTakes a short film by Three – proud sponsor of the Irish rugby team.
This three minute film delves into Henshaw’s personal life and documents his journey to date. With input from his father, Tony Henshaw, other family members and Senior Cup School’s Coach Mick Loftus, the film celebrates ‘All it takes is everything,’ the insight on which Three’s epic new ad campaign is built.
Henshaw, who is an official ambassador for Three, said; “The film crew got really up close and personal for the film – I tried to share a good insight into what it takes to be a professional rugby player as well as showing a little bit of me off the pitch too! It was great to have my family feature in the film too - after all, they have played a huge role in developing me, and my career, to date. Grandad pulled out the accordian and we’d a good ol’ session too!”
Elaine Carey, Chief Commercial Officer, Three Ireland, added; “Three is incredibly proud to sponsor the Irish Rugby team and, as new guardians of the sponsorship, we want to bring the supporters closer to the Irish team. We want to be the brand that enhances the fan’s experience - at every turn. This campaign sets us up for the Six Nations, giving us a glimpse into the player’s lives and a deeper understanding of how much they give, and give up, to be the best and to represent Ireland. The players were so accomodating, open and generous with their time and I think the fans will relish the insights shared in the films.
‘#AllitTakes will be released on Friday, February 6th, in advance of Ireland’s much anticipated Six Nations match against Italy in Rome.
The second and third episodes of the short film series features fellow Three ambassadors Johnny Sexton and Paul O’Connell, and will be released over the course of the championship.
