New Zealand head coach Ian Foster has made a late change to the matchday squad for the opening Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia to be played at Eden Park on Saturday.

Scott Barrett, who was named on the bench along with Jordie Barrett and Beauden Barrett has been ruled out of the encounter due to illness.

His place on the bench has been taken by Blues skipper Patrick Tuipulotu.

The 28-year-old has played 37 Tests for New Zealand since his international debut in July 2014 and was part of the 2019 World Cup squad of the All Blacks.
