Saracens Rugby Club has officially announced that Italian international prop Marco Riccioni has signed a new contract, ensuring his continued presence at StoneX Stadium.
This extension marks Riccioni's commitment to the club as he enters his fifth season in North London.
Riccioni, who joined Saracens in 2021 from Benetton Treviso, has become a mainstay in the team's front row.
Since his arrival, he has made 30 appearances for the Italian national team and was a crucial part of Saracens' Premiership-winning squad during the 2022/23 season, starting at tighthead prop in the final.
Reflecting on his journey, Riccioni expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm:
"I'm so grateful for the opportunity to continue my journey with this family.
"This environment has always put me in a place where I can express the best version of myself and I can't wait to see what this group can do in the future."
Saracens' Director of Rugby, Mark McCall, praised Riccioni's contributions and potential:
"Marco has had an outstanding season and at 25 years old has an incredible future ahead of him. We are delighted that he has chosen to continue his journey with the club."
Riccioni began his professional career with Calvisano before moving to Benetton Treviso, where he honed his skills in the Pro14. His consistent performances earned him a spot in Italy's squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, where he featured in three matches.
