London Irish sign South Africa internationals Piet van Zyl and Arno Botha

London Irish have announced the signings of South Africa internationals Piet van Zyl and Arno Botha with immediate effect.

Van Zyl will make a switch from Super Rugby side Bulls and has also represented Cheetahs in the past. He has also represented the Springboks in three Tests - all of it coming in 2013.

Meanwhile, Botha was also part of the Bulls from 2012 and has captained the South Africa U20 team in the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship in Italy. His two appearances for South Africa senior side came in 2013.

London Irish currently are in danger of a relegation as they are languishing at the bottom of the Aviva Premiership table with a solitary win from 12 games and are set to face Leicester Tigers next at Welford Road on Saturday.
