He may have signed a contract to see him through till after the 2015 World Cup but if Warren Gatland was to finish after this World Cup who could be his replacement.
Here are a few contenders:
Dai Young- Seen by many as the best person to be the next Welsh national coach, the longest serving coach of all the regions having been at the blues since the regions started and he knows what it means to wear the famous red jersey.
Robbie Deans- Very successful as a club manager and a somewhat mixed time as a international coach with Australia but they seem to be improving under his guidance and look like having a good chance in the world cup, so could Wales be tempted to keep the trend of picking New Zealanders for the job.
Phil Davies- Lost out on the job in 2007 to Gareth Jenkins so could he have more luck four years on also he is the former Wales u20's coach so has already been involved in the WRU setup.
Shaun Edwards- Maybe has outside chance to take the reins after Gatland, has got the respect of the players but after a resent spat with a fellow coach resulting in both men missing the loss to France in the 6 nations that might go against him if he was to apply for the job.
