Leicester Tigers have confirmed that Bryce Hegarty has left the club with immediate effect.

Hegarty has been with the Tigers since 2021 and has made 15 appearances scoring 63 points that includes four tries.

He will now head to Australia to join the Super Rugby side Western Force.

The 30-year-old also had represented Melbourne Rebels, Toyota Jido Shokki, New South Wales Waratahs, Queensland Reds and Brisbane City in the past.

"I've enjoyed my time here, really enjoyed my time as a Leicester Tigers player and feel like I have learned a lot," he told the club's official website.

"It has been a good growing experience for me, on and off the field, and am grateful for having had this opportunity.

"I'm excited for the next chapter; a big part of returning to Australia is my ambition to be a part of a Wallabies squad and taking part in the Rugby World Cup, as well as the chance to link up with Simon Cron and the Western Force of which I am looking forward to next season.

"I take a lot of memories away with me but probably the biggest thing I'll remember is the crowd and atmosphere at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

"Leicester Tigers supporters are something else and what they create is second to none, that is probably the fondest memory I take away with me."

Leicester Tigers are positioned seventh in the Gallagher Premiership table with three wins from seven matches.
