Aviva Premiership club Wasps have announced the signing of Wales international lock Bradley Davies.

Davies, who has won 42 caps, will move to Wasps from Cardiff Blues at the end of this season.

"We have a pool of very good locks here, and bringing someone like Bradley in will only broaden that group, offering us huge experience and quality," said Wasps rugby director and former Blues boss David Young.

Davies added: "I know Dai very well from my time at the Blues, and his vision for London Wasps is something that has been very appealing to me.

"I have been with the Blues since I was 17 years old and I have a huge amount to thank everyone there for, but I am also hugely excited about playing in a new league with a new club."

Davies is currently sidelined due to injury. He underwent shoulder surgery after being injured during Wales' autumn Test series in November.

Argentina Test lock Mariano Galarza will join Gloucester from their Aviva Premiership rivals Worcester next season.

Gloucester have confirmed 27-year-old Galarza's move to Kingsholm. He has won 18 caps and was part of Argentina's 2011 World Cup squad.

"Our search for second-rows has been detailed," Gloucester rugby director Nigel Davies said.

"W e are delighted to have secured Mariano's services, as his qualities will complement the players we already have in place and give us some genuine options in the second row.

"I believe this gives us plenty of strength in depth in a hugely important area of the squad as we seek to establish a powerful forward platform for next season.

"Mariano is an experienced, physical operator and his signing is another statement of intent for us."
