George Furbank Signs For Harlequins
Furbank has spent his entire senior career with Northampton Saints, where he developed into a key figure in the side.
Able to play at full-back and fly-half, he broke into the first team during the 2018-19 season and quickly established himself as an important player at Northampton.
England International Adds Leadership And Quality
The 29-year-old played a major role in Northampton’s PREM title-winning 2023-24 campaign and also captained the side on multiple occasions that season.
He was later appointed the club’s 66th captain ahead of the following campaign, underlining his standing within the squad.
Harlequins Gain Proven Premiership Experience
Furbank has also built solid experience at Test level with England since making his debut in the 2020 Six Nations. He has 14 international caps to his name.
“George is one of the PREM’s top talents, and we’re excited to be signing a player of his calibre from next season," said head coach Jason Gilmore.
“He’s someone we’ve admired for a long time - a player who is composed under pressure, instinctive in broken play, and brings a natural attacking flair that aligns perfectly with how we want to play.
"His ability to see space before others and step in as a second playmaker will add real quality to our squad.
“Beyond his play, George is a proven leader who will add invaluable experience and an understanding of what it takes to win trophies to our squad".
