Flo Robinson will make her first start for England when the Red Roses face the USA in their final WXV Global Series fixture on Friday.
The Exeter Chiefs scrum-half, who made her international debut during the 2025 Guinness Women’s Six Nations, has been rewarded with a starting role after impressing off the bench against Canada.
Head coach John Mitchell has made six changes to his starting XV for the encounter at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey, with England looking to finish their North American tour on a positive note.
Robinson’s Exeter teammate Claudia Moloney-MacDonald returns to the wing, while Sale Sharks’ Holly Aitchison takes over at fly-half. Tatyana Heard, another Sale player, also comes into the midfield as part of the backline reshuffle.
There are changes among the forwards, too, with Gloucester-Hartpury duo Mackenzie Carson and Maud Muir joining the starting front row.
The Red Roses will face the USA on Friday 30 October, with kick-off scheduled for 9.15pm UK time (5.15pm ET). Supporters can watch the match live on the England Rugby YouTube channel and BBC iPlayer.
With England’s next Test not scheduled until the Guinness Women’s Six Nations in around six months, Mitchell sees the fixture as an opportunity to begin the next stage of the team’s development.
The head coach has opted to rotate several positions, providing opportunities for players while continuing to build competition and depth across the squad.
Mitchell also stressed that selection is based on the demands of the opposition and the standards expected from the team, with every player responsible for contributing to England’s performance.
