Chris Ashton confirms Saracens switch

Chris Ashton will join up with fellow rugby league exiles when he joins Saracens next season.

Ashton and Saracens confirmed the England international will leave Northampton at the end of the season.

The 24-year old will meet up with his former Wigan rugby league team mates Andy Farrell and Joel Tomkins.

Ashton left Wigan in 2007 to join Northampton. He was called up to the England Six Nations squad in 2010, but made a huge impact in that year’s autumn internationals.

Speaking on Twitter, Ashton said: “I've decided to join Saracens from next season, until then it's all about Saints.”
