Cardiff Blues continued their winning run in the ongoing European Challenge Cup tournament with a convincing 28-3 victory over Bath at the BT Cardiff Arms Park stadium on Saturday.

Only six points separated the two teams at the half-time whistle with Blues' fly-half Steve Shingler slotting three penalties while Bath fullback Tom Homer slotting one.

However, a strong second-half surge where the hosts scored three tries helped Danny Wilson's men to extend their lead over Bath to five points in the Pool 4 table.

Fullback Matthew Morgan (49), right-wing Alex Cuthbert (54) and replacement tighthead-prop Scott Andrews (78) scored tries for the hosts.

Shingler managed to convert Morgan and Cuthbert's try while missing out on Andrews' attempt.

The two sides will once again come face-to-face on December 15th for the next Pool 4 clash at the Recreation Ground.
