Leicester Tigers have announced that Ben Youngs, George Martin and Joe Heyes have signed new deals with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Youngs made his Leicester Tigers first team debut in February 2007 and has racked up over 300 appearances for the club while winning the Premiership five times in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2013 and in 2022. He also has racked up 127 Test appearances for England since making his international debut in 2010.

“Coming home from the World Cup, you could sense there was a great energy in the club. I have credit Dan and his staff for that and it’s just something I want to continue to be a part of," said Youngs to the club's official website.

“It goes without saying, this club means the world to me and my family so I’m just happy to be able to contribute any way I can, whether it’s playing or helping to guide the young lads through.”

Martin attended Rawlins Academy in Quorn and was part of Leicester Tigers two successive under 18 league title. He signed his first professional contract with the Tigers in 2019 and has 69 appearances to his name. He was also one of England’s standout performers at Rugby World Cup 2023.

“I’m really happy to be staying with Tigers.”

“Coming through the Academy here, I get to come into work every day, play for a great club with my mates and I’m excited to work with Dan and develop in the program that we have here.

“It was great to get back on the field last week and Exeter is another big challenge for our group but playing for this club, in Leicester is special I’m looking forward to getting back home to Mattioli Woods Welford Road.”

A product of the Nottingham Lincs and Derby development group and the Tigers academy, Heyes had a breakout debut season in 2018/19 when he made 20 appearances. He has made 132 appearances for the club and has featured for England in 12 Tests.

“It was an easy decision for me to re-sign with Leicester Tigers.”

“Coming through the academy, the club holds a genuinely special place in my heart and there’s nowhere else I would want to play rugby at this stage of my career than in front of our fans at Mattioli Woods Welford Road.

“I’m really enjoying the program Dan and the coaches have put in place and it’s been great for us to get some results over the last couple of weeks and build some momentum heading into the new year.”
