Worcester Warriors have announced wing Alex Hearle has signed a new two-year deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Hearle, a product of the Three Pears Warriors Academy signed his senior contract two years ago and has made 32 first-team appearances for the club scoring seven tries.

He had an good outing in the ongoing season where he played 18 games across all the competitions including the Premiership Rugby Cup final win over London Irish and has touched down five times.

“I am very happy to be staying here for two more years. I really believe in what Steve Diamond has instilled in the time he has been here and it makes me very excited about the future potential that we have at the club which we showed in the Premiership Rugby Cup victory,” Hearle said.

“It’s been great to get the opportunity to play this season. I have loved every minute of it. I have learned a lot, had a lot of fun and I can’t wait to play some more rugby in front of Worcester supporters.

“Having grown up locally, and come to Sixways to watch games with my family as a kid, it’s fantastic to be a part of this team. To play with guys that you’ve known for eight or nine years makes it even more special.”

Worcester are languishing at the bottom of the Gallagher Premiership table after managing just five wins from 23 games. They will be facing Bath in the final game of the season on 4th June.
