Ospreys have confirmed that wing Keelan Giles has signed a three-year contract with the Pro 14 club ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Giles played junior rugby for Loughor RFC and then Waunarlwydd RFC before he joined the Under 16 and Under 18 teams of Ospreys.

His debut for the Welsh regional side came in 2016 and his impressive performances earned him a place in the Wales squad for the New Zealand tour, November Tests and also the recently concluded summer tour, though he is yet to make an appearance at the international level.

"If you'd asked me this time last year I could never have imagined it would have gone like it did," said Giles.

"My ambition last summer was to simply make a mark in training and hopefully do enough to get some Anglo Welsh game time maybe.

"It's been brilliant, but I know that I can't start thinking I've made it.

"There's a lot of work still ahead of me to make sure my development last season isn't wasted, but I know I'm in the best environment to make sure I reach my full potential."
