Fullback Max Nagy has committed his future with Ospreys after signing a new contract with the Welsh province.

Nagy played youth rugby for Buckingham RFC and was a part of Northampton academy before attending Swansea University. He was part of the Ospreys development side before going on to make his club debut in the Pro14 Rainbow Cup.

“It’s an incredibly proud moment for me and my family," he told the club's official website.

"The Ospreys and Swansea University have been a huge part of my life; it's where I’ve developed as a player. I'm excited about what the future holds for us as a team and I’m looking forward to contributing to our goals as a club."

The 24-year-old is currently sidelined with an ankle injury that he sustained in December.

“Max is a testament to our player development pathway and his athleticism and skill set make him an invaluable member of our team," said Ospreys head coach Toby Booth.

“He's got a very bright future ahead of him, and we’re all excited to see how much further he can take his game. With Max committing his future to the club, we continue to strengthen our core of young talent, which is essential for the long-term success of the Ospreys.”

Ospreys are at eighth place in the United Rugby Championship table with five wins from nine matches.
