Gloucester Rugby have confirmed that wing Jake Morris has signed a contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club.

A product of Gloucester Academy, Morris made his senior debut with the club in 2019 and follows the footsteps of his father, Simon, who made over 100 appearances for the Cherry and Whites between 1990 and 1997.

He made his first senior appearance for the club during the 2020/21 season and has featured in 19 games for the club since then.

Gloucester head coach George Skivington is delighted with Morris re-committing to the club.

“Jake is another local product that we’re really excited to re-sign," said Skivington.

“He’s shown what he can do – most notably his try-scoring abilities, as evident against Sale earlier this season. Now it’s just about getting a consistent run of games under his belt, so it’s great he’s had that opportunity between here and Hartpury to do so.

“We’re all looking forward to seeing his progression.”

Gloucester are positioned ninth in the Gallagher Premiership table with seven wins from 17 matches.
