Southern Kings 17 - 43 Zebre, Port Elizabeth

The Southern Kings' dreadful start to the Pro 14 2017-18 tournament continued as Zebre recorded their first win of the season with a 43-17 demolition at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday night.

The Italian side ran in six tries as the hosts managed to score just two and that too in the middle of second-half after trailing by 3-22 at half-time.

Tommaso Castello (3), Mattia Bellini (4), Renato Giammarioli (20), Tommaso Boni (47), Giulio Bisegni (66) and Jacopo Sarto (78) scored tries for the visitors while Godlen Masimla (50) and Luvuyo Pupuma (56) scored for the Kings.

Both the clubs came into this match with three defeats to start the season and stuck to the bottom of the table. The win has now elevated the Parma-based club to the 5th position in Conference A.

Next weekend, the Kings travel to Wales to face the Dragons on Saturday, while Zebre host Irish side Ulster on the same day.
