Newcastle Falcons fly-half Craig Willis is in danger of suspension after he was charged with 'tip-tackling' during his side's recent Anglo-Welsh Cup clash against Saracens.

The incident occurred in the 69th minute of the game when Willis performed an alleged illegal tackle on Saracens centre Nick Tompkins and was red-carded by referee Mike Adamson.

He will now appear in front of a three-man RFU disciplinary panel headed by Anthony Davies in Leeds on Tuesday and if found guilty he might face a suspension of between four and 12 weeks.

After losing both their games in the tournament till now, Newcastle Falcons are placed fourth in Pool 4 of the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
