Edinburgh number eight Nasi Manu will be missing the upcoming Pro12 clash against Scarlets on Friday due to a rib injury.

Head coach Alan Solomons has made five changes to the lineup from the team that lost to Cardiff Blues by 34-16 last week with Scotland sevens number eight Magnus Bradbury replacing Manu.

John Hardie will replace Hamish Watson in the XV while winger Michael Allen and inside-centre Phil Burleigh are also given a start.

Lock Ben Toolis has also made it to the starting lineup at the expense of Fraser McKenzie, who now moves to the bench.

Solomons said the players are keen to bounce back from their defeat to Cardiff in the opening game.

"The players are all looking forward to playing at home and are relishing the challenge that the Scarlets will present."
