Samoa born Sasa Tofilau has signed a one-year contract with Edinburgh for the upcoming season.

Tofilau will now make a switch from the Scottish based National League Division Two side Kirkcaldy.

The 21-year-old has represented Edinburgh in the Melrose Sevens and scored a winning try in the final of the tournament and managed four tries overall.

Tofilau, who has also been a part of the Australia Under-20 side, said he is excited to be part of the Edinburgh side and is keen to contribute to the club's success in the upcoming season.

"I'm really excited to be involved at the club and I'm grateful to the coaches for putting faith in me," he told told edinburghrugby.org.

"Hopefully I can return the favour in the way I train and play.

"I am excited and a little bit nervous for pre-season, but I'm looking forward to getting started.

"It's going to be tough, but I know it's all going to help me adapt to the environment and push me to achieve my goals and dreams."
