Edinburgh 9 - 10 Munster, Myreside

Ronan O'Mahony scored the only try in the game while fly-half Tyler Bleyendaal contributed with two penalties as Munster have reclaimed the top position in Pro 12 after defeating Edinburgh by 9-10 at Myreside on Friday.

Fly-half Jason Tovey opened the account for Edinburgh with a seventh minute penalty following which Munster got into lead when O'Mahony crossed over in the 15th minute followed by a conversion from Bleyendaal.

But, Edinburgh once again bounced back with two more penalties from Tovey as they ended the first half with a 9-7 lead.

Even though, both the sides had their chances, they failed to make use of it as the scores remained intact in the third quarter of the game.

It was in the 66th minute, Bleyendaal scored a successful penalty to bring Munster to a one-point lead. A desperate effort from Edinburgh earned them a penalty in the closing stages inside their own half but fullback Blair Kinghorn could not find the strides as they succumbed to a close defeat.
