Bath Rugby have confirmed that Scotland international Josh Bayliss has signed a contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club until 2027.

Bayliss made his professional rugby debut with Bath in 2016 and has racked up 110 appearances for the club since then. A former England Under 20 international, the 26-year-old made his Test debut for Scotland in November 2021 against Australia after qualifying through his Aberdonian grandmother.

“I owe so much to Bath. The city, the club and most importantly the people," he told the club's official website.

“I’m very fortunate to be able to pull on the jersey that represents this. I’m privileged and happy to have the chance to do that for another few years.”

Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan is delighted with Bayliss remaining committed to the club.

“Speed is one of Josh’s main attributes. The fact that he can play across the back row, he’s a line-out caller and he can play across the back line if needed which makes Josh a true asset to our club. Josh is a key member of our journey on and off the pitch.”

Bath are positioned second in the Gallagher Premiership table with eight wins from 13 games.
