Australia head coach Michael Cheika has made four changes for the upcoming Rugby Championship clash against New Zealand scheduled to be played at Eden Park on Saturday.

Israel Folau has been ruled out of the game due to an ankle injury that he sustained during the game in Sydney forcing Dane Haylett-Petty to move to fullback and Jack Maddocks has been promoted to wing.

The other change sees Scott Sio recovering from his injury and Allan Alalaatoa has been promoted to the starting team in the place of Tom Robertson and Sekope Kepu respectively.

Both Robertson and Kepu now move to the bench that also has Brumbies duo Folau Faingaa and Tom Banks as they are in line to make Wallabies debut.

Saturday's game will be a must win encounter for Cheika's men, if they have to have any chance of winning the Bledisloe Cup after they previously lost the first game of the series with a 13-38 margin.

They will also be wary of the fact that their last Test win over All Blacks at Eden Park came way back in 1986.

Australia line-up: Dane Haylett-Petty, Jack Maddocks, Reece Hodge, Kurtley Beale, Marika Koroibete, Bernard Foley, Will Genia, David Pocock, Michael Hooper (c), Lukhan Tui, Adam Coleman, Izack Rodda, Allan Alaalatoa, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Scott Sio

Replacements: Folau Faingaa, Tom Robertson, Sekope Kepu, Rob Simmons, Pete Samu, Nick Phipps, Matt Toomua, Tom Banks
