Cadbury, the renowned confectionery brand, has extended its collaboration with Rugby Australia, now serving as the primary sponsor for its women's national team.

This new agreement solidifies Cadbury as the leading partner for the Wallaroos over the next six years, spanning through to Australia's hosting of the Rugby World Cup in 2029.

Initially joining forces with Rugby Australia in 2021 as the main sponsor for the men's team, the Wallabies, and a significant supporter of the Wallaroos as their shorts sponsor, Cadbury has now expanded its involvement to prominently feature its logo on the front of the Wallaroos' jerseys, furthering its commitment to women's rugby.

Owned by Mondelez International, a snack company based in the USA, Cadbury continues to strengthen its ties with Rugby Australia and the broader rugby community.

"We saw the power of a home World Cup in another sport last year and going deep into the tournament," Rugby Australia chief executive Phil Waugh said on Monday.

"It's hard to put dates on those sorts of things (but) we know that you need to perform now and invest now to get the benefits in 2029."

Wallaroos captain Piper Duck is excited about the new investment deal which she believes will be a major boost to the women's side.

"(I'm) definitely feeling that they've listened. There's been such an increase in investment into the Wallaroos," Duck said on Monday.

"It's now time for us to really back up what we're putting down.

"We're absolutely stoked to show Rugby Australia and the world what we can achieve.

"The girls have so much pride in what they do. We are here to perform. We're here to play some good rugby."
