Bristol Bears have received a much needed boost ahead of their round 11 Gallagher Premiership clash against Sale Sharks with Charles Piutau and Steven Luatua recovering from their respective injuries.

Piutau has been sidelined since October with a nose injury and has made six appearances in the Premiership this season.

Meanwhile, Luatua, who has made 99 appearances for the club is yet to feature this campaign after picking a calf injury during the pre-season.

“Charles is back now after his injury to his nose," he told the club's official website.

“Stevie Luatua is finally back [from a calf injury suffered in pre-season], he has been sitting on 99 games for the club, it was meant to be 100 in round one against Bath - now he gets his chance to get out there for his first game of the season which is exciting. He is good to go."

Lam also revealed that Fiji centre Semi Radradra is on track for a return as he is making progress from a knee surgery that he underwent in April.

“Semi is not far, he will certainly be available next week against Leicester.”

Bristol Bears are positioned 10th in the Gallagher Premiership table with two wins from seven matches.
