London Irish have announced that winger Ben Loader has penned a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

A product of London Irish Academy, Loader entered his seventh season of involvement with the senior team this year and has been in great form during the 2022/23 season, including a hattrick of tries against Bath Rugby.

The 24-year-old has racked up 85 appearances for London Irish in which he has crossed over 36 times. He was also part of England Under 20 side in the past and was involved with the England senior set-up against a Barbarians XV in 2019.

“I know that over recent years the Club is moving in the right trajectory, including now playing in the Heineken Champions Cup, a lot of hard work has gone into that,” Loader told the club's official website.

“I’m now prepared to be part of the next stages of work with the Club, I want to embrace the challenges that are ahead of us now individually and collectively as part of this special squad.

“I love this Club and everything it has done for me and my family, so staying with London Irish is the right decision.”

London Irish Director of Rugby Declan Kidney expressed delight with Loader extending his stay at the club.

“We’re delighted to have Ben on board with us going forward at London Irish. His contribution to the team, on and off the pitch, is growing season by season – with his best years ahead of him.

“As well as being a fantastic player, Ben is a very popular figure both at Hazelwood and amongst our supporter base, so we know that securing his services long term will prove very popular.”
