Worcester Warriors 33 - 20 Dragons, Sixways Stadium
Scorecard

Worcester Warriors scored two tries and two penalty tries to bag 26 points in the second-half to overcome Dragons challenge with a 33-20 win at the Sixways Stadium on Saturday.

The win has boosted Warriors' slim European Challenge Cup hopes as they climb up a place in the Pool 3 table.

The two teams were separated by just a single point at the half-time whistle after Dragons fly-half Angus O'Brien scored a penalty and a drop goal whereas Warriors loosehead-prop Val Rapava Ruskin scored a try at the brink of the half with fly-half Connor Braid adding the extras.

Left-wing Dean Hammond (42) and outside-centre Max Stelling (72) scored tries for the Warriors whereas match referee Thomas Charabas awarded the hosts a couple of penalty tries on 47th and 58th minute.

The Dragons made a futile last moments effort to make a comeback into the game when left-wing Ashton Hewitt (75, 77) scored a double in a span of couple of minutes.

The two clubs will face each other once again in the reverse fixture at Rodney Parade on coming Friday.
