Munster 51 - 18 Cheetahs, Thomond Park

Alex Wootton scored four tries as Munster maintained their winning streak in the ongoing season of Pro 14 with a 51-18 victory over newcomers Cheetahs at Thomond Park.

Tommy O'Donnell scored an early try that came in the sixth minute with Ian Keatley slotting a penalty and a conversion on either side to help Munster claim a 10 point lead.

Even though Cheetahs, bounced back with a double penalty from fly-half Robbie Petzer, Wootton crossed over twice in the 19th and 34th minutes to ensure the home side had a 22-6 lead at half time.

William Small-Smith provided Cheetahs with some momentum as he strolled past the post early in the second half but tries from Jean Kleyn (48'), Chris Farrell (50') and Wootton (54' and 60') took the game away from the visitors as Munster stretched their lead to 35 points.

Simon Zebo further increased the gap when he went past the line in the 71st minute which was also the eighth try for Munster despite, Henco Venter's last minute try, Cheetahs succumbed to a 33 point defeat.

This is Munster's second consecutive bonus point victory as they top Conference A while Cheetahs languish at the bottom of the table.
