Wales have made just two changes to their line-up for the second Test against All Blacks in Wellington from the side that lost the opening game of the series by 39-21 in Auckland.

Scarlets' Liam Williams has been moved to right wing for the second Test in the absence of George North, who was ruled out of the series with a hamstring injury. Scarlets fly-half Rhys Patchell will take the position of fullback which was previously held by Williams.

Rhys Priestland will replace Gareth Anscombe on the bench after the latter suffered a hip injury in the first Test at the Eden Park. Luke Charteris has been given a start in the XV and will take the place of Bradley Davies.

Wales coach Warren Gatland had earlier admitted that he was disappointed with the performance of the fringe players after his side was hammered by a rampaging Chiefs side by 40-7 on Tuesday at FMG Stadium Waikato.

Gatland also urged the team to remain positive ahead of the Saturday's encounter and hopes for an improved performance this time around.

"It is important we go out on Saturday with the confidence to play for 80 minutes in what will be another huge Test match," said Gatland.

"We kept the ball and played well for periods of the first test and we need to convert that to the full 80. It will be another huge occasion in a packed-out stadium in Wellington and we are determined to build on our first-Test performance."
