Wales will miss the services of Cardiff flanker Thomas Young in the upcoming Six Nations tournament following a calf injury.

The 30-year-old has played four times for Wales with his last cap coming a year later.

He is now set to be sidelined until April which will effectively ruled him out of the upcoming tournament.

"Cardiff Rugby can confirm Thomas Young will be out of action for up to three months after suffering a torn calf," read a statement from the the Cardiff Rugby.

"The in-form flanker limped off during the second half of last weekend's United Rugby Championship clash with Scarlets. He will now begin his rehabilitation."

Wales will kick-start their Six Nations campaign with a clash against Ireland at Principality Stadium on 4th February.
