Wales lock Will Rowlands will miss the upcoming Six Nations tournament due to a shoulder injury.

Rowlands sustained the injury during his team's autumn internationals clash against Argentina last month which Wales went on to win 20-13.

The 31-year-old underwent a surgery and is expected to remain on the sidelines until April.

"The shoulder is OK, It is frustrating but it is just slow and steady [on his recovery]," Rowlands told the Scrum V Live programme.

"Hopefully I will be involved back in rugby in April time."

Rowlands, who has 23 Test caps is set to join French club Racing 92 ahead of the 2023/24 season which will make him ineligible to represent Wales due to their policy of selecting players plying trade overseas with 60 or more caps.

Wales will kick-start their Six Nations campaign with a clash against Ireland on 4th February.
