Bulls 33-41 Stormers, Loftus Versfeld

Stormers managed to overcome stern resistance from Bulls as they completed a 33-41 win in their final round of Super Rugby 2017 season at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

Jason Jenkins (7'), Duncan Mathews (17') and Jesse Kriel (28') scored tries for Bulls in the first half with Tiaan Schoeman slotting three conversions to take them to 21 points at the end of the first half.

Cheslin Kolbe (9'), Sikhumbuzo Notshe (13') and Dillyn Leyds (33') crossed over for Stormers in the first 40 minutes while centre Damian de Allende added two conversions and a penalties as the visitors had a slender one point lead at half time.

A sin-bin to Bulls' Conraad Van Vuuren saw Stormers capitalising with a try each from Siya Kolisi and Willemse as they raced to a 13 point lead at the end of the third quarter.

Even though, Bulls bounced back with touchdowns from Piet van Zyl and Kriel to bring down the gap to one point, a final try from Seabelo Senatla in the 78th minute as Stormers completed a eight point win.

Stormers maintained their top position in Africa 1 Conference while Bulls finished third in the same group.
