Sharks 22-10 Stormers, Growthpoint Kings Park
Scorecard

Sharks successfully overcame a lone fight from SP Marais as they completed a 22-10 victory over Stormers in their Super Rugby clash at Growthpoint Kings Park on Saturday.

Fly-half Garth April kicked a fifth minute penalty to get Sharks off the mark while five minutes later centre Johan Deysel crossed over to claim a 10 point lead for the hosts.

As Stormers failed to add any point in the first 40 minutes, lock Stephan Lewies rumbled past the post in the 35th minute while April added the conversion to make it 15-0 for Sharks at half time.

Even though, Marais helped Stormers bounce back with a penalty followed by a converted try to reduce the gap to five points, winger Sibusiso Nkosi ensured Sharks completed a seven point victory following his 62nd minute touchdown along with a conversion from April.

Stormers, who started the tournament positively, are struggling to replicate their form after suffering four defeats in five games but they still continue to top the Africa 1 Conference while Sharks are positioned second, closing on the Africa 2 table toppers Lions.
