Hartpury University have announced that seven players from Gloucester Rugby will be joining the Championship side.

Hooker Ethan Hunt, scrum-half Toby Venner, back row Joe Howard and loosehead Olly Adkins were associated with Hartpury previously and they will be joined by Matty Jones and Josh Gray, who were already part of the club last season along with Cameron Jordan.

Hartpury Director of Rugby John Barnes thanked Gloucester for the support and welcomed the players as they look to improve from their ninth place finish last season.

“It’s great to have the Gloucester Academy players on board for this season," he told the club's official website.

“Many are current or former Hartpury students, so we are pleased we can support these players yet again in their rugby development.

"They’ve all trained extremely well this summer and are putting their hands up for selection in our pre-season matches.

“A big thank you to Gloucester Rugby and, in particular, George Skivington, Carl Hogg and Pete Walton for their continued support of our Championship progress.”
