Gloucester Rugby have announced that Scotland international Adam Hastings will be leaving the Gallagher Premiership at the end of the ongoing season.

Hastings started his career with Bath Rugby in 2016 after graduating through the club's academy. He returned back to Scotland joining Glasgow Warriors in 2017 before heading to Gloucester in 2021.

The 27-year-old has made 40 appearances for the Cherry and Whites and went on to make his Test debut for Scotland in 2018. He has overall featured in 27 games for Scotland.

Gloucester director of rugby George Skivington thanked Hastings for his contribution to the club.

"We’re extremely grateful to Adam for everything he’s given to the Club in his time here. He’s a very talented rugby player and has contributed to some of our best moments over the last few seasons," said Skivington to the club's official website.

"The move back to Scotland offers Adam a great chance to put his injury trouble behind him and get a run of games for his new club, with the potential to put him back in international contention. We wish him every success and thank him for his contribution to the Cherry & White jersey.

“Adam will clearly be missed, but we’re looking forward to Gareth Anscombe joining up with us next year to complement our existing fly-halves.”

Gloucester are positioned ninth in the Gallagher Premiership table with four wins from 14 matches.
